DESPOT2 was proposed for fast, high-resolution, T
2
mapping
but it is susceptible to banding artifacts induced by B
0
inhomogeneity,
especially at 3T and higher fields. We have generalized
the DESPOT2 technique by deriving an analytical
expression for T
2
using
two or more phase-cycled bSSFP images at varying flip
angles. Our method can also be used to map B
0
inhomogeneity.
