T

Mapping
is an alternative technique to T
2
W imaging,
where multiple T
2
W images are acquired and
the voxel-wise T
2
values
are estimated through a fitting model. One major
limitation is the need for several rest cycles after
each image to allow for full spin recovery, which
reduces the scan time efficiency of the technique
especially if more slice coverage is needed. In this
work, we propose to use a slice-selective T

prep
pulse combined with interleaved slice acquisition to
eliminate the need for the rest cycles, and provide more
slice coverage within efficient scan time.
