Fast absolute myelin water mapping without an external water standard

The objective of this study is to develop a fast
absolute myelin water quantification method which does
not require the use of an external water standard.
Results in 6 volunteers show excellent agreement with
the conventional method with a whole brain scan time of
7 min at 1.5T.
