Due
to their high sensitivity to changes
in iron content, phase images and maps of R2* relaxation obtained with
gradient echo techniques have been gaining popularity in the imaging of
neurodegenerative diseases. However, the reproducibility of these techniques
has not been investigated yet. Therefore,
we determined the reproducibility of
phase and R2* maps acquired with multi echo susceptibility weighted
imaging and found that the intersession coefficient of variation is much
smaller in phase images than in R2* maps.
