In
this study we compare time averaged 4D MRI of intracranial aneurysms and
surrounding vessels with simulations created using Computational Fluid
Dynamics(CFD). The vessel geometry is obtained from high resolution 3D
rotational angiography and inflow velocity is derived from 2D PC MR velocity
measurements. We compared 4 patients with unruptured aneurysms, visualising
the intra-aneurysmal flow pattern. With both modalities it is possible to
visualise intra-aneurysmal flow patterns, with good agreement between the two
different techniques.
