The
Selective Multiple Quantum Coherence transfer (Sel-MQC) method is modified
for simultaneous mapping of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), lactate and
choline in three unique Molecular Specific Coherence (MSC) transfer pathways
with complete lipid and water suppression in a single scan. Choline signal is also detectable in a
second spin echo to enhance lipid suppression. The method can be applied to study animal
tumor models and human breast cancer or other extracranial cancers.
