Elastography is currently the most accurate non-invasive technique for
assessment of liver fibrosis. In this study, we investigated whether
administration of gadolinium for routine MRI studies affects the stiffness
values estimated. Our study results show that intravenous gadolinium does not
affect stiffness values estimation and diagnostic performance of MRE for
detection of liver fibrosis.
