The
present study reports alterations of the neurochemical profile in the cortex
of a mouse model of redox deregulation induced by genetic reduction of
glutathione synthesis. The observed metabolic alterations suggest impaired
mitochondrial metabolism and eventually altered neurotransmission, both
possibly triggering degeneration.
