Precise
and accurate quantification of the volume, and longitudinal change in volume,
of the lateral ventricles (LV) based on MRI data is an important goal in
understanding the natural progression of neurodegenerative disorders such as
Alzheimers disease (AD) and multiple sclerosis. In the present study, we provide evidence
from 270 AD patients for the accuracy of a novel, fully-automated, MRI-based
technique for
