Quantitative T1 and T2* mapping for atherosclerotic carotid plaque using multi-echo phase-sensitive inversion recovery sequence

The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between the T₁ value of carotid plaque and signal intensity ratio and to evaluate the clinical usefulness of T₁ and T₂* values for carotid plaque. Quantitative T₁ and T₂* mapping using mPSIR have potential to improve the diagnostic accuracy of vulnerability of carotid atherosclerotic plaque.
