The purpose of this study was to non-invasively assess
the joint condition of subjects who underwent
joint-preserving distraction arthroplasty in an 8-10
year follow-up study. Six subjects were evaluated and
compared with T1, T2, and quantitative T1
imaging,
showing outcomes with a range of cartilage and
subchondral bone inhomogeneities. The results
demonstrated that T1
has
value to gauge cartilage and joint condition in
longitudinal studies of OA progression and treatment
planning.
