This study investigated two DCE-MRI data analysis
methods for evaluating response to treatment and
prognosis of event-free-survival (EFS) and
overall-survival in 42 patients with osteosarcoma. In
two methods, eight parameters and their
absolute-difference (ABD) between two neighboring time
points were assessed for the role of predicting clinical
results. Three ABD parameters before week5 could
potentially predict response. The CPA parameter
on
Day5 is the potential prognostic factor for EFS. Four
ABD parameters before week5 are potential prognostic
factors for overall-survival. All results show that two
DCE-MRI analysis methods could provide valuable
predictive information for clinical outcomes.
