The omega plot is a facile method to quantify chemical
exchange rates. However, its accuracy decreases in
measuring protons at small chemical shifts and
suboptimal saturation powers may be one of the reasons.
In this study, simulations were performed to identify
optimal saturation powers by evaluating the consistency
between desired omega plot and simulated results.
Results showed substantially improved estimation
accuracy of exchange rates with saturation powers
optimized. The current study confirmed the crucial
influence of saturation powers on omega plot
performance, and demonstrated the importance of
saturation power optimization in improving the
estimation accuracy of chemical exchange rates.
