We propose a novel QSM reconstruction method that
reduces the artifacts and generates a high quantitative
susceptibility map without the regularization term. The
method consists of three steps: (I) iterative least
square minimization, (II) adaptive edge-preserving
filtering to the susceptibility map in the minimization
process, and (III) weighted addition of the
susceptibility map in k-space before and after
filtering. The results of a 3D numerical phantom
simulation and healthy volunteer experiment showed that
the method may be useful for reducing streaking
artifacts and generating a susceptibility map of which
quantitative is maintained.
