Dynamic contrast enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) of the prostate
has been shown to be a useful tool to detect and stage
prostate cancer. Increasing parallel imaging
acceleration will allow for better pharmacokinetic
parameter estimation. Due to various acquisition
constraints, the phase encode plane is typically
misaligned with best supported plane for parallel
imaging. Specialized receiver coils to support parallel
imaging in this sub-optimal alignment have been
developed and demonstrated.
