Only recently MR Imaging has been used to investigate movement patterns in the vocal tract during singing. In our study we compare structures of the vocal tract of a professional tenor while either in supine or prone position using a tilting 0.25T MR-Scanner. The tenor was instructed to sing an ascending scale in both supine and prone position. Then, distances between anatomical landmarks were measured in the acquired sagittal images.
