A twisted
projection imaging sequence is presented. The properties of the k-space trajectory
are used to reduce scan time in 3D imaging. The sequence was implemented as a
spoiled gradient recalled echo (SPGR) sequence and as a fully balandec
steady-state free precession (bSSFP) sequence. The different contrast
behaviors of these sequences are used for fast 3D mapping of T1
and T2 with a variable flip angle approach.
