This work investigates the effects of a 60 minute, 60 Hz, 3000 T magnetic field exposure on resting state blood flow with ASL. Seven healthy subjects were exposed to the magnetic field and seven subjects were in the sham group. SPM8 was used to analyze the data and found significant regions of activation in both groups within the resting state network. Subjects were unable to detect the magnetic field, as determined by a Field Status Questionnaire. The findings are consistent with EEG studies of MF exposure. Additional subjects are required to further explore the results of this pilot study and to determine the duration of the observed effects.
