Problem: Recently, resting-state functional MRI (fMRI) has attracted increasing attention. Most studies have focused on the hippocampus and posterior cingulate cortex (PCC) connectivity regarding their crucial roles in cognitive function, while less attention has been devoted to the potential role of subcortical nuclei such as thalamus.
