An
improved, 3-domain design for Archimedean spiral trajectories is proposed,
utilising the instantaneous frequency for taking into account frequency
limitations of the gradient system. It is demonstrated by simulations and
experiments that the new layout enables creating trajectories with high
fidelity and efficiency, leading to improved spiral image quality.
