Synopsis:
Physiotherapy based on mirror therapy concept was administered to stroke
patients for 8 weeks. BOLD mapping was carried out for fist-clenching tasks
of paretic hand. It has been observed that during observation of a movement,
motor areas in the primary and premotor cortex show enhanced activation when
a subject observes the unaffected hand in a mirror or in simulated
environments.
