The
use of intracellular contrast agent suffers from quenching effects due to
compartmentalization of the contrast medium inside the cell. These effects
impede the correct quantification of cell populations. This study presents a
simple way to quantify cell density by using inversion recovery measurements
and biexponential fitting routines.
