In
the presence of partial voxel blood volume, conventional quantitative methods
of converting signal to concentration in DCE-MRI result in significant biases
in pharmacokinetic parameter estimates. Direct modeling and nonlinear
regression of signal dependence on concentration avoids these biases, giving
accurate and unbiased parameter estimates.
