In
this work we present a 7-channel receive coil which can be inserted into a
non-detunable commercially available 8 channel head coil for 7 T. The insert
is used to enhance image quality and imaging speed in the cerebellum and in
the visual cortex. Image comparisons show that image quality is improved even
at higher parallel imaging acceleration factors.
