We
demonstrate excellent fluid suppression in 23Na MRI at 7T by using
inversion-recovery and quadrupolar contrast techniques. These methods will
greatly improve quantification of tissue sodium concentrations, which in turn
will help in providing diagnostic techniques for cartilage tissues.
