This
work aims to facilitate diffusion tensor imaging on a clinical 3T MRI system
in order to reconstruct the inner shank muscle architecture of rodents. Using
a slightly modified EPI-DTI sequence and 3D anatomic scan, we were able to
reconstruct the muscular structure within feasible scan time (approx. 45
min). The promising results will be validated by examining the myostructure
using high-resolution (0.07 mm) 3D reconstruction techniques (Microscribe
MLX) ex-vivo.
