Systemic
administration of MnCl2 enabled simultaneous monitoring and selective
elimination of hESC induced teratoma cells by higher intracellular
accumulation of Mn2+. This is the first study to demonstrate MEMRI has a
theranostic effect in both detecting and eliminating early teratoma
formation.
