Sildenafil
is effective in restoring penile blood flow in alleviating erectile function,
a common side effect from radical prostatectomy. We have used DCE MRI to
image rat corpora cavernosum post nerve injury with and without sildenafil
treatment. The effect of sildenafil on the corpora cavernosal vascular volume
changes are detected and can be used to monitor penile vascular health in
clinic.
