Traditionally,
brain tumor recurrence is defined as new MRI contrast enhancement apparent in
follow-up imaging. This study shows
that diffusion weighted MRI edge characteristics of contrast enhancing tumors
show measurable differences indicative of tumor invasion prior to contrast
enhancing recurrence
