We
showed the evidence of MRI-guided focused ultrasound can suppress the ictal
actvity induced by the chemical kindling of rat brain via kainic acid. This
evidence demonstrate that non-invasive suppression of epilepsy may be
feasible using pulsed, low-energy focused ultrasound.
