Using
finite difference time domain simulations, the effect of different relative
permittivity of the dielectric located between the body and volume array at
7T is examined. Additionally, RF
shielding within the volume array is studied to predict B1 transmit patterns
in the body. These are combined to
improve B1 efficiency and homogeneity at 7T.
