Phase-contrast
MRI of pulsatile flow typically requires cardiac gating; however, a gating
signal is not necessarily available in
utero for fetal cardiac imaging.
We propose a new technique for reconstructing ungated data where the
gating is determined retrospectively by optimizing an image metric. Simulations and in vivo data are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of this
technique.
