Medulloblastomas and primitive neuroectodermal tumors (PNETs), are highly cellular malignant primary brain tumors representing the most common solid tumors arising in children. Currently, to our knowledge, realistic animal models to study the in-vivo imaging characteristics of these tumors are lacking. In this work we have developed and studied the MR imaging characteristic of these PNETs in a spontaneous JCV T-antigen transgenic mouse brain tumor model at 7 Tesla.
