Magnetic resonance imaging at 3.0T has shown potential for enhancing musculoskeletal imaging. In most studies the higher SNR obtained at 3.0T compared to 1.5T has been used to improve image quality and spatial resolution. In routine clinical sequences, however, scan time is also a major consideration. This study demonstrates that parallel imaging with GRAPPA reconstruction provides a feasible way to substantially cut down imaging time without loss of image quality.
