To provide for convenient viewing of spectroscopic imaging data with correlation to anatomical images, a self contained, platform-independent Spectroscopic Imaging Viewer was developed. The JAVA-based Viewer relies on XML metadata files to provide the flexibility needed to accommodate various types of spectroscopic imaging acquisitions, file naming conventions, files system hierarchies and operating systems. Images are displayed in co-registered space to provide easy correlation of spectroscopic imaging data to anatomical features and information from diverse modalities.
