Dendritic cells are the most effective antigen presenting cells and have been used in a variety of approaches to immunotherapy. We have developed a highly sensitive method for monitoring the trafficking of dendritic cells into tumors using the magnetic resonance imaging agent ProHance. This contrast agent has been shown to be taken up by the dendritic cells and can be imaged with MRI. ProHance is further evaluated of it's effects on dendritic cell phenotype and lytic activity of NK cell co-cultures.
