We have previously reported a new approach to MRI RF coil array design that is optimized for SENSE imaging. In this approach the inverse problem is solved to find the current paths that will form the coil, which will maximize the SNR in SENSE imaging (hence minimize the g-factor) within a target volume. In this study, the effect of weights on components of the cost functions used in the least squares approximation were investigated.
