Timing Delays &[Delta]t between gradients and receiver events were characterized for a variety of measurement parameters and systems. The dependency of &[Delta]t on the physical gradient axis of the readout were found to be negligibly small. The isotropic average values could well be approximated with a linear equation that was parameterized with the receiver dwell time and the coefficients being dependent on system type only. This isotropic linear model was used to adjust the RO pre- and dephaser in radial imaging sequences. Cardiac imaging on volunteers proved that this correction provides robust clinical image quality for radially acquired images.
