Dark lumen-based colonoscopy has demonstrated reasonable success in detecting colon polyps. The purpose of this study is to develop a new approach to eliminate the colon lumen signal intensity while improving polyp detectability in Min mice using oil as a back-filling agent. The largest dimension of the smallest polyp detected was 1 mm. We also demonstrate the potential of dynamic contrast enhanced MRI to characterize the polyp microenvironment.
