In this study, multi-modality validation of MR evaluation of myocardial restoration following transplantation of mouse embryonic stem cells (mESC) has been performed. Furthermore, the mechanisms underlying functional restoration of the injured myocardium in murine model of myocardial infarction have been investigated.
