Efficient axon diameter distribution recovery with long diffusion time

We propose an original technique for measuring axon
diameter distributions that simplifies the AxCaliber
framework in complexity and shortens the acquisition
time. In particular, we derive a new closed form
expression describing the echo attenuation in the
intra-axonal space. The method is validated using
Monte-Carlo simulations of NMR signals from complex
white matter-like environments. The results are
promising and illustrate the potential of the method.
